Booking an Overnight Investigation
How do I book a private investigation?
Look at the calendar for a date that is open. Email us at jailinvestigations@gmail.com to confirm a date. If the date is available you will be sent a confirmation email-at this point a deposit is due within 7 days.
How much does it cost to book an investigation?
Squirrel Cage Jail:
8 hour investigation base cost $210 for a group of 6. There is a $35 charge for each additional person
4 hour investigation base cost $140 for a group of 4 people. There is a $35 charge for each additional person.
How do I make a deposit?

What can't I bring?
No Ouija boards, no drugs, no alcohol. NO Cleansings, sÈances, satanic rituals, etc. A representative from the Historical Society of Pottawattamie County can remove you from the grounds if any of these rules are broken.

What areas of the building will we have acccess to?
You will have access to all but three archival areas. This can change due to the disgression of the HSPC Representative.
Is there heat?
Mostly! There is heat on the first and fourth floor. For winter investigations we do recommend wearing layers.
Is there air conditioning?
Again, mostly! The first and fourth floor are air conditioned. If you are investigating during August please bring extra water and wear light clothing.
